Artificial Neural Networks in High Energy Physics

This being my Doctorate Thesis from 1995 in Imperial College London. Deals with the application of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) methods in pattern identification analysis of data from a High Energy Physics (HEP) experiment. More specifically, the technique developed deals with the identification of quark jets vs gluon jets as observed with the ZEUS detector of the HERA electron - proton collider facility in Hamburg, Germany.
